Physical and chemical properties: this product is white or white crystalline powder, odorless; It has dampness. This product is soluble in water, almost insoluble or insoluble in methanol; It was slightly dissolved in glacial acetic acid.
Mechanism of action: L-glutamine (Gln) is an essential precursor for the biosynthesis of nucleic acids. It is a very abundant amino acid in the body, accounting for about 60% of the free amino acids in the body. It is a regulator of protein synthesis and decomposition, and an important substrate for the renal excretion of amino acids that carry amino acids from peripheral tissues to internal organs. However, the application of L-glutamine in parenteral nutrition is limited due to its small solubility, instability in aqueous solution, inability to tolerate heat sterilization, and easy to produce toxic substances when heated. L-alanyl-l-glutamine (Ala-Gln) dipeptide is generally used as the application carrier of glutamine in clinical practice.
